Wartburg night at concert series |
It's Wartburg night at Concerts in Kohlmann on Thursday, June 27, between 6:30 and 8 p.m. Wear your orange and join us for an all-ages event featuring Sir Victor, give-aways, mini cool cookies, a Wartburg pop-up store, a bounce house, face painting, and more. If you can help volunteer for all or part of the evening, please email alumni@wartburg.edu to learn more about where help is needed. Concerts in Kohlmann features the Greater Waverly Municipal Band, led by Dr. Craig Hancock, every Thursday throughout June and July in the park along First Street NE in Waverly. Free popcorn and lemonade are provided, and Hy-Vee Grill offers food for purchase. Rain location is St. Paul Lutheran parish hall. |

Performance appraisals due June 30 |
Please remember that performance appraisal forms are due no later than June 30. Performance appraisals are available on the InfoCenter under Employment > Forms and Procedures > Performance Appraisal Forms. Appraisals generally cover the working period of June 1, 2018, through May 31, 2019. Please note that all late and/or incomplete performance appraisals will result in a counseling session with the supervisor responsible and Human Resources. Documentation of the counseling session will be placed in personnel file and communicated with the appropriate cabinet member and/or supervisor. The following are the requirements of a complete performance appraisal: • | Performance appraisal must be complete and submitted on the most updated performance appraisal form. (Outdated performance appraisal forms will NOT be accepted). | • | Signatures AND dates of both the supervisor and employee must be present. | • | Appraisals (and self-appraisal, if completed) must be submitted on or before June 30, 2019. | We appreciate your cooperation. Jacob Oswald ’10 put his name on a bone marrow registry during a Dance Marathon event at Wartburg in 2015. One year ago he donated to an infant in Nebraska, and he will soon meet the child, according to KCRG. |
Dan ’95 and Jennifer Digmann fell in love in 2002 and have spent the subsequent years sharing their stories of hope to others living with multiple sclerosis, as reported by People Magazine. |
Max Chinnah ’15, CEO and founder of Terraoak, and Godwin Attigah ’18 are preparing to launch their smokeless cookstove in the U.S. camping market in hopes of proving its viability and to start driving revenue, which will allow them to sell the product in third-world countries, as reported by Clay and Milk. |
