Soriano earns UFC contract with win on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Punahele Soriano can now call himself a UFC fighter.

The Waialua native defeated Jamie Pickett this evening in ana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in Las Vegas, winning by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26.)

Soriano, 26, a former DIII Al-American wrestler for Wartburg College, is now 6-0 in his professional MMA career.

While Soriano’s UFC debut has yet to be determined, he will be in the Octagon in the near future.
