New interlibrary loan system |
Wartburg's interlibrary loan system is migrating to a new software platform called Tipasa on July 22. The process of making interlibrary loan (ILL) requests for books and articles will be greatly streamlined by this change – you simply log in with your Wartburg username and password. All currently active requests will migrate over to the new platform, but electronically delivered articles and past request history cannot be migrated. You will be able to access your ILLiad account for 30 days after the migration is complete under the Library Links section of Tipasa’s user portal, but all new requests will need to be submitted through the new system after July 22. You can also use this portal to customize your communication preferences for ILL – including notifications via text message. If you have any questions, contact Elisa Klope, interlibrary loan supervisor at Vogel Library (319-352-8258), or email illiad@wartburg.edu. |

Wartburg will roll out the orange carpet (literally!) for high school students with sessions beginning at 9:30 a.m. M-W-F and at 1 p.m. T-Th during Worth It Week, Aug. 5-9. Help the college promote the week to high school students and their families by sharing on your social media and your department's Facebook page. It's a great chance for students to experience what it's like to be a Knight, and every student who visits during Worth It Week receives a $500 award per year if they enroll at Wartburg. Look for orange during RAGBRAI |
Riding your bike across Iowa with RAGBRAI next week? On Tuesday, July 23, look for the orange Wartburg Worth It tent 1.5 miles east of Cumming along the right side of the road (click here for exact location.) We'll hook you up with goodies and swag on Day 3 of the ride, so be sure to make a pit stop and say 'Hey!' before putting those helmets back on. Don't forget to pack some orange and black Wartburg gear for College Spirit Day on Friday, July 26, too! Be on the lookout for other Knights on the ride and post your pics using #WartburgWorthIt. Ride safely, Knights! |
Next Knightline to go out Aug. 1 |
If you have news and events in August to promote to the readers of Knightline, please send in your items for consideration in our monthly e-newsletter that goes out to thousands of Wartburg alumni, parents and friends. Friendship families for international students |
The Wartburg College International Programs office is currently seeking "friendship families" for approximately 35 new international students arriving at the end of August. Friendship families do not house or act as advisers or financial sponsors to the students. They simply meet with their student(s) throughout the year to share meals, holidays, or participate in a variety of cultural activities. For more information or to sign up online, click here or call 319-352-8745. You may also email Wendy Mohlis, Friendship Family coordinator. |
